On May 17, 2024, 17 students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Nguyen Tat Thanh University confidently presented the required research report within the framework of COIL Project activities under the guidance of lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting together with 30 international students from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy), Mons University (Belgium).
Thai Hong Thuy Khanh – Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting shared: “Students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of Nguyen Tat Thanh University when participating in the COIL project will be funded with all related costs and certificates of participation in activities. This is an opportunity for students to practice, exchange, learn specialized knowledge from each other, and improve their English proficiency and academic skills for future jobs. In particular, students will have the opportunity to directly go to Europe to interact with international students at the member universities of the project.”
Here is the online International Study program: Collaborative Online International Learning Banking Resolution In EU: The Case of Banco Popular. The COIL project selects students who have randomly enrolled in working groups and each group will include students from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Mons University, and Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Teams will work on the project-specific TEAMs channel and will have two weeks to complete the work. The work was carried out in English and the interaction between students of the three universities involved, the group’s products were evaluated by the three lecturers involved in the project.
The COIL project aims to:
– Students will be asked to identify the best bank and propose as a buyer entering the processing stage and are asked to analyze, and compare the characteristics and business models of the bank, and different intermediaries, and determine the appropriate price; for the acquisition.
– The analysis will be based on the case of Banco Popular and students analyzing data extracted from Bankscope’s database regarding companies that may be involved in managing the banking crisis.
– Use the resources provided by the European settlement authority.
