With the aims of promoting learner-centered teaching approaches, strengthening connections with organizations, associations, businesses and individuals that are experts in the field of e-commerce to improve the training quality, and following up the signed cooperation agreement between the Vietnam E-commerce Association, Nguyen Tat Thanh University and the Digital Transformation Alliance for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, on May 13, 2021, leaders of Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) headed by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung – Chairman and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung – Vice Chairman had a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong – Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University cum Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences to share and discuss the cooperation possibilities between VECOM and Nguyen Tat Thanh University in the upcoming time.

At the meeting, two parties exchanged strengths and collaborative potentials in the e-commerce training to improve the training quality in the direction of high application. Vietnam E-commerce Association with hundreds of members which are businesses operating in the field of e-commerce, including Logistic, Exchange, Flatform supply,… or Blockchain association, is currently gathering many successful Vietnamese technology experts in the world who are able to fully cooperate with Nguyen Tat Thanh University in training new fields such as: E-commerce, Information Technology, Banking and Financial Technology…

VECOM will coordinate with Nguyen Tat Thanh University to organize short-term training programs, update new practical knowledge for teaching staff who are researching and teaching e-commerce at southern Vietnam’s universities. In addition, two parties also cooperate to effectively implement projects on supporting digital transformation solutions in localities such as: digital economy through E-commerce and digital society through digital education.

Nguyen Tat Thanh University is a prestigious training institution, constantly striving to improve the quality of training and scientific research, jointly contributing to solve new problems arising from reality, especially the e-commerce major of the university is also in need of connection and participation of businesses operating in the field of E-commerce, not only bringing practical knowledge to students but also being a very important channel to recruit students after graduation. At the same time, the cooperation of two parties for research activities and transfer of science and technology application in localities is very necessary in the current period, especially in the field of Digital Transformation.
