FFA – University Performance Metrics – UPM (University Performance Metrics – UPM) has just announced the star rankings for 02 training programs under the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Nguyen University. Tat Thanh. In which, the Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Finance and Banking are awarded 4 stars according to UPM standards.
Accordingly, the Bachelor of Accounting and the Bachelor of Finance and Banking are awarded 4 stars, excellently ranked 14th and 15th of the rankings, in which the criteria for community service of the Bachelor of Accounting and the criterion Strategic alignment of the Bachelor of Finance and Banking are rated 5 stars. With this result, Nguyen Tat Thanh University is currently the only non-public university with a training program participating in UPM’s star ranking.

UPM’s star rating is evaluated based on 44 criteria belonging to 7 standard groups including: Strategic compatibility (8 criteria); Training (11 criteria); Research and innovation (7 criteria); University ecosystem (5 criteria); Internationalization (4 criteria); Community service (3 criteria); Outstanding (6 criteria). Starring shows a true and positive picture of quality, bringing useful, multi-dimensional information to stakeholders from universities to students, employers, and administrators. Universities that participate in the UPM star will have the opportunity to compare in terms of quality. From there, not only affirming its value but also an important step to continuously improve and improve quality.
This result is achieved because in recent years all faculty lecturers focus on study and science research that meets the university requirement and improves the academic level. There are many publications in domestic and overseas ranking journals yearly. Besides that, faculty’s students also have many research each year. In addition, Nguyen Tat Thanh university has constantly invested in facilities, teaching staff, improved training quality, supported students’ jobs, promoted scientific research during its operation and recent development. According to Dr. Tran Ai Cam, Rector of Nguyen Tat Thanh University, this will be one of the good bases for the University to do a better job of analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges to realize its goals. This result is important in the development strategy of the University and towards higher goals, also a worthy reward for the school’s efforts in accrediting training quality in recent years.
In August 2020, the University Quality Ranking System in Vietnam and the region – UPM also ranked Nguyen Tat Thanh University as a 4-star standard. According to UPM, 4-star universities are prestigious in the country and in the region.
