1. Functions – obligations
The Department of Fundamentals Studies under the Faculty of Finance and Accounting has the function of assisting and advising faculty leaders in managing and operating activities of the team and the Faculty of Finance and Accounting:
Managing the full time lecturers and business lecturers – who are leaders at businesses in the fields of finance as banking – tax agents… collaborate in the field training program of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting in the courses managed by The Department of Fundamentals Studies.
Administering the Department’s activities such as: Assigning and arranging teaching schedules – timetables, scientific research activities… for lecturers of the team. Guiding and setting up internship reports, graduation internship reports, or graduation thesis instructions… for students.
The Head of the team is in charge of the management and administration of the team’s activities and arising tasks under the direction of the Faculty and the University leaders; managing the modules in the field of Banking and Finance managed by the team.
2. Teaching, scientific research and courses in charge of team
– The teaching content is consistent with the approved curriculum of the school’s Science Council and evaluated and appraised by domestic and international accrediting organizations.
– The teaching and assessment methods: The lecturers apply many different teaching methods including lectures, giving students group presentations, providing real-life case exercises for students to solve, consult with the faculty office to allocate students to short-term internships or long-term internships at businesses operating in the fields of finance – banking – tax agents – tax offices … join with the Faculty to organize Academic clubs or invite reporters who are business leaders or alumni of the faculty who are running businesses to exchange knowledge and practical experience.
– Manage and teach basic courses as the foundation for specialized courses, in line with the expected learning outcomes of the Bachelor of Finance and Banking training program according to the established criteria approved to meet AUN standards such as: Monetary and financial theory, Banking and financial information systems, Applied statistics in finance, Applied econometrics in finance, Public finance, Taxation, Academics Specialized English section…
3. Professional and scientific research activities
Regularly organize weekly, monthly and quarterly professional activities with different topics to share research experiences, foster professional skills, and pedagogical skills of lecturers inside and outside the Faculty of Finance– Accounting…
Organizing seminars or participating in scientific conferences at the University, guiding students to write scientific research topics…
Members of the team actively participate in scientific research activities: write articles in specialized domestic journals and/or publish in prestigious international journals; write articles in the Proceedings of scientific conferences at all levels; participating as the chairperson or/and member of science and technology projects at all levels…
